F15 ( above 2 pics) - The latest addition to our airforce.
6 months ago, when i signed on, i was told that we will be going to either Rotary wing ( apache and chinook) , Fixed wing ( f-15 or f-16) . 4 months after that, we were told that we are going to f-16. And just yesterday, we were told to make a decision for one person from the f16 squad to go to Gulfstream G550.
I always wanted to work on a fighter jet, but i guess the G550 isnt that bad afterall. Of course it doesnt look as cool as those fighter jets, it doesnt fly as fast, it doesnt have afterburner, it is not noisy, it is not aerodynamically shaped (IMO) . But it has its nice points like : the ppl in the squad are gregarious, they are nice, they are approachable, they are like family. Also i was told to take things slow on the first day, they tell me to adapt to the culture first. I am so glad they are nice.
On my first day , i was introduced to the tool store, taught how to check the tools and service it. I saw the landing for G550 and how they taxi it to the hanger. It was awesome. I dont know if i will still say that in a few years time down the road. Everything is in place. The only thing is that i am the only one that wont be with the Engine Group. Sam mentioned Lone Ranger. I think i am that sort of person sometimes, but i wouldnt want to be on esp in the squad. I was sleepy that day and i think i gave a bad impression to Thomas and to Master Ang. ): I was falling aslp when they were briefing me.
After work, Justin, Ming Xuan (tatutatu) , Geoffrey, Jia Lun and i went to Chervon for a good singing session at the KTV. It got boring after the 1 hour mark and i wanted to go home. The sounds system is not that good, and my ears hurt.
