F15 ( above 2 pics) - The latest addition to our airforce.

6 months ago, when i signed on, i was told that we will be going to either Rotary wing ( apache and chinook) , Fixed wing ( f-15 or f-16) . 4 months after that, we were told that we are going to f-16. And just yesterday, we were told to make a decision for one person from the f16 squad to go to Gulfstream G550.

I always wanted to work on a fighter jet, but i guess the G550 isnt that bad afterall. Of course it doesnt look as cool as those fighter jets, it doesnt fly as fast, it doesnt have afterburner, it is not noisy, it is not aerodynamically shaped (IMO) . But it has its nice points like : the ppl in the squad are gregarious, they are nice, they are approachable, they are like family. Also i was told to take things slow on the first day, they tell me to adapt to the culture first. I am so glad they are nice.

On my first day , i was introduced to the tool store, taught how to check the tools and service it. I saw the landing for G550 and how they taxi it to the hanger. It was awesome. I dont know if i will still say that in a few years time down the road. Everything is in place. The only thing is that i am the only one that wont be with the Engine Group. Sam mentioned Lone Ranger. I think i am that sort of person sometimes, but i wouldnt want to be on esp in the squad. I was sleepy that day and i think i gave a bad impression to Thomas and to Master Ang. ): I was falling aslp when they were briefing me.

After work, Justin, Ming Xuan (tatutatu) , Geoffrey, Jia Lun and i went to Chervon for a good singing session at the KTV. It got boring after the 1 hour mark and i wanted to go home. The sounds system is not that good, and my ears hurt.

Did i mention that i love typing ? I probably didnt. I miss the feeling of ranting all out on this blog.

Let me start by saying that my day went well and i am glad i didnt waste it. I woke up at 12pm and went for archery . I was supposed to meet Chow initially at 12pm but guess what? He woke up at 1.34pm. haha, that gives me an excuse to go later. I know myself, i dont think i could last 1 set. The most i can take is an hour of shooting and i will be wasted.

I left house at 3.50pm and reached at 4.15pm on my bicycle. Chow said he was leaving at 3.30pm and he ended up reaching at 4.40pm. I wasnt sure if he meant it when he said he went back home halfway because he forgotten to bring his fingertab. Because i used to give such excuse when i was late.

I did 30m and my sight marks on sureloc was 20. It was ok, i didnt do well but i love the shooting feel. Chow did so much better then me , but because he didnt eat lunch and breakfast, he had dizzy spells and went on to catch a nap at the study area. He didnt want the others to know that he was dizzy.

Cycling wasnt as tough on low PSI, it wasnt as bad as i thought. In fact, i cycled faster than i was when using higher PSI. Perhaps the lower PSI created a better suspension system and rolled off bigger bumps while high PSI resisted the bumps. I shall put the PSI factor into test next week.

Edifire smsed me while i was at Archery, he is inviting me to join them for a Butterfly ride tml. I dont think i can make it because firstly, i have the free ticket for movie tml and secondly, i dont think i can last that long on bike anymore. My stamina isnt as high as before now. I need to start running more . I wanna gauge how long it takes to go to Tengah Air Base from my house on a bike. For now, if i take a train than a bus at Boonlay, i will reach TAB (tengah air base) in 40 ~ 50 mins time. I am sure i can get there faster on a bicycle. The road inside is a little cramp when reaching the camp, buses and cars jam the place up in the morning and after work. Its a little dangerous then. I need to be careful if i am cycling there.

An old picture of the good old days !
